About The Film Academy

The Film Academy (TFA) is a premier practical film training institution in Jos, Plateau State, founded by experienced Nigerian filmmakers to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world production.

Our faculty consists of founding lecturers from the National Film Institute (NFI), veteran scriptwriters from NTA classics, acclaimed directors, and active producers. Every instructor brings decades of industry experience and is still actively working on major film and television projects.

We believe the best way to learn filmmaking is to make films. Our programs emphasize intensive hands-on training using professional equipment on real locations.
